Wesley is Hydra Creative’s Head of Development and a driving force behind the agency’s technical delivery. With nearly two decades of experience in web development and digital systems, he brings both deep technical expertise and strong leadership to every project.

Since joining Hydra four years ago, Wesley has played a pivotal role in delivering large-scale, complex websites and bespoke systems for clients across a wide range of industries, including recruitment, education, manufacturing, and healthcare. His versatility with multiple programming languages and frameworks allows him to adapt quickly to the needs of each project, whether leading a custom WordPress build or architecting a fully bespoke platform from the ground up.

As Head of Development, Wesley leads on technical planning and direction while also mentoring junior and midweight developers. He’s known for his patient, collaborative approach, sharing knowledge, guiding best practices, and helping the wider team grow in both skill and confidence.

Wesley’s journey into web began in the mid-2000s, transitioning from an early career in IT to full-time development by 2009. Along the way, he built up a strong freelance portfolio, creating branding, brochure sites, and web solutions, and earned early recognition through award-winning design work. That hands-on experience has shaped his practical, problem-solving mindset and ensures the systems he builds are not only well-crafted but future-ready.
